Say hello to Elphie! This little tripod was brought to a Los Angeles shelter after being hit by a car. The injuries he sustained forced the amputation of his left front leg. Not to worry though, this brave little Chihuahua/Terrier mix is learning to get around quite well on three legs. Despite everything he's been through Elphie remains upbeat and happy. Guess it's true that you can't keep a good dog down and Elphie is a very good dog. He is already neutered, up to date on vaccines and flea control.
Two-year-old Zuma immediately caught our attention when we entered the cat room at the county shelter. What a handsome cat and such striking eyes! Did you know that the same gene that causes a Siamese cat's eyes to cross is also responsible for giving them their unique coloration? Zuma is a very mellow cat and mostly just wants to hang out with his people all day. He doesn't seem to mind other cats either. In fact, there isn't much that this guy does seem to mind; he is one cool customer. Looking for a companion to while away the hours with? Come meet Zuma today.
