Among the featured works are Pete Seeger’s Where Have all the Flowers Gone?; Bob Dylan’s Blowin’ in the Wind; Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides Now; and Burt Bacharach’s Promises, Promises. The program also includes Paul McCartney’s Hey Jude and Ob-la-di,Ob-la-da; Paul Simon’s The Sound of Silence, Bridge Over Troubled Water and Mrs. Robinson; John and Michelle Phillips’ California Dreamin’; and Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In by James Rado, Gerome Ragni and Galt MacDermot. “Los Robles Master Chorale, which has a long tradition of music education engagement, is proud to mentor and showcase the remarkable talents of the Agoura High School choral singers,” says Leighton. “It is inspiring to work with these exceptional young singers, especially on a program like this, with contemporary music that stands up to the test of time and is as vibrant and impactful today as it was in the Sixties.”
