The Legacy Continues...Albert Schweitzer Fellowship Benefit Concert
We invite you to join us on October 5th for the first Schweitzer Fellowship benefit concert featuring Schweitzer's granddaughter and internationally renowned pianist, Christiane Engel and the Los Angeles Metropolitan Youth Orchestra.
Founded in 2007 thanks to a generous start-up grant from Kaiser Permanente of Southern California, the Los Angeles Schweitzer Fellows Program is one of thirteen Schweitzer program sites across the U.S. dedicated to developing a pipeline of emerging professionals who enter the workforce with the skills and commitment necessary to address unmet health needs. Since the program’s inception, Schweitzer Fellows in Los Angeles—competitively chosen from health-focused graduate student applicants in a variety of fields—have worked tirelessly to address health disparities and the social determinants of health throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
Christiane Engel is proud to continue her grandfathers legacy in music and direct service by headlining this event with LAMYO. This benefit concert is the first fundraiser LA-ASF will host in hopes of showcasing the wonderful work our Fellows do and the impact they have in underserved communities of Los Angeles.
All Tickets include complimentary entrance to tour the GRAMMY museum after the event. All tickets and donations are tax deductible.
