EVENT INFORMATION

The artists will be Dr. Jamie Rankin of Princeton University and Dr. Duane Funderburk of Pasadena. Jamie teaches German at Princeton, and is an accomplished pianist and performer on the east coast and in Germany as well. Duane is the Co-Director of Worship and Arts at Lake Avenue Church, and performs often in the Pasadena area and in Washington State.
The program will include works by Bach, Brahms, and arrangements of several hymntunes written by the artists. In particular, the Concerto in C minor by J.S. Bach, and Variations on a Theme of Haydn by Johannes Brahms will be performed. A guest appearance from vocal soloist Greg Waybright will be included as part of the program. The concert is free for everyone, and a free-will offering will be taken to benefit the refurbishing of Fischer Rehearsal Hall at Lake Avenue Church.
